The level of the suction reservoir is 1.83 m below the pump. the atmospheric pressure is 101.32 kPa and the water temperature is 41°F. If the total head loss in the suction is equal to 1.22m, check if the pump enters into cavitation in the above conditions. Discuss how to avoid cavitation problems in pumping fluids.
