The office of Fire Chief or Chief of Department in the American Fire Service is a very complicated one. We have studied many outside organizations important to that office but three stand out as critical to the planning for, the operation of, and assessment of, every fire department in the American Fire Service. The questions below should allow you to expand on the role of each and the value of each to an American Fire Chief.
1. What is the importance of and value of the National Fire Protection Association and all it’s codes to the Fire Chief? (minimum 1000 words).
2. Of what value and significance is the Insurance Services Office to the Fire Chief? (minimum 1000 words).
3. What role does the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress and it’s arm, the Center for Public Safety Excellence, mean to the Fire Chief
